i apologize if you are dragged into my latest obsession with human organs. actually, while i was looking back into some quotes i saved or entries i've written, i think the heart and brain has subconsciously been ingrained into my head (no pun intended). several of the paintings i'm working on focus on the human brain and heart in combination with an industrial element or mundane object. the brain to me is extremely fascinating, as is the heart. and what is even more fascinating are the metaphors and analogies both those organs have conjured for hundreds and thousands of years. both the brain and the heart are related to intangible ideas like mind and emotion; the brain with thought and the heart with feelings like love or hate. maybe i'll start focusing my attention more on organs like the stomach or liver since both are suffering at the moment..brain = heart.
